My name is Kim Baker. I am a writer and a reader.   I probably do equal amounts of both, but I never seem to have enough time for either. I’m currently working on a middle grade novel. If you’re interested in writing for children, I recommend reading everything you can, developing a frequent writing habit, and becoming active in your regional chapter of SCBWI. Oh, and move to Seattle.  We’ve got everything you need- great bookshops, great writers, a great SCBWI chapter (see above), great libraries, and a climate conducive to curling up with your laptop for a good type.    :)
